Philip Stein

Philip
President

Philip was one of the first U.S. accountants to work in the Israeli Hi-Tech scene in the 90′s.
Today Philip travels between his home in Hashmonaim, his Jerusalem office in Har Hotzvim and his branch office in Herzliya Pituach, where you can find him every Monday.

Philip had the privilege of growing up on the South Side of  Chicago, and  moved to a Northern suburban high school. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Accounting, receiving his CPA license in 1976, and earned an MBA from the University of Michigan in 1977 with a specialization in taxation. Philip started his career working for  Ernst & Ernst, a predecessor to Ernst & Young, in the Chicago tax department. He also taught at Roosevelt University, Loyal University and Northeastern University in Chicago. In 1979, he moved to Israel with his wife Judy who is a practitioner of Chinese Medicine. They have been blessed with 5 daughters and 2 grandchildren. Philip began his practice alone in 1979, preparing tax returns by hand –  no PC’s in those days!!  During the early years he served U.S. expatriates  building Israeli airbases in the Negev, following those expats to Cairo, to which he commuted 10 times in the early 1980′s. Philip continues to be an avid Chicago sports fan as well as a lover of mountain hiking, jogging, and snowshoeing (he likes to keep his feet on the ground!).
